20 - Offline installation

A router is needed to do the setup for an offline installation.

When the installation is done and working, the router can be disconnected

One button installation

First, connect all the devices on the network the same for two-wire and IP devices.

Open the Akuvox IP Scanner software.

When the Akuvox IP scanner software is opened, the software will scan the network for all the Akuvox devices.

Select the device and click on the Browser button to enter the device.

Set the password and give the device a fixed IP address.

Now the door station has a fixed IP address, go to the config page of the monitor using the Akuvox IP scanner software.

Now that the IP addresses are known.

Door station: 172.18.193.101

Monitor: 172.18.193.103

Now this is an offline installation and not connected to a local VoIP server, the IP addresses need to be used as the Phone numbers.

Now, in this sample, the Door station needs to call the monitor at IP address 172.18.193.103.

Open the config page of the door station, open Intercom, and select Basic.

Enter the IP address of the monitor, and in this case, it will be 172.18.193.103. There is also the option to add more IP addresses to make the group call to other monitors as well.

Now the next to do is to add the door station to the monitor.

Click on + Add to add the door station in the same field there is the option to add more door stations.

Adding the DTMF tone to open the door from the Unlock button on the monitor

First, go to the config page of the door station or if the code is already known, go to the next step.

Open the option Intercom and select Relay.

A. edit change the DTMF tone settings there is the option to use up to 4 digits

B. Change the relay name

Now that the DTMF tone is known, the tone needs to be added to the prefix of the monitor.

Open the config page of the monitor.

Open Phone and select relay.

Then for this door station in this sample using the 0 to open the door, one of the DTMF fields needs to be used for the door station.

Now set the unlock keys for the views when to open the door.

At least it can be useful to edit the opening button on the Talking display and for this sample, the Remote Relay By DTMF was used with the 0 to open the door.

This can be used also in the Call-Preview when the door can be opened without answering the call.

Two to five call button setup

Open the config page of the button door station.

Open the intercom, and then click on Basic and enter the IP addresses from the monitors corresponding to the buttons.

Multi apartment setup

For the Multi apartment, the calls are needed to be created in the dial plan.

Open the config page from the door station (for the models with keypad)

Then Phone and select Dial Plan.

Click on add to create a prefix to call an IP address from a monitor.

No need to change the Account so it can stay on auto.

Enter any name.

Enter the prefix number that needs to be dialed on the keypad to call a monitor.

Then there is the option to enter 5 numbers that can be called at the same time, so for the offline installation, the IP addresses need to be used.

Click on Submit to save.
