Extra - 2 wire kit off-line installation

In case of an off-line two wire installation with the AK-KIT02-2 kit.

The installation needs to be connected to the network first via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable.

Depending on the number of monitors, length of the cable, use a 48Volt power adaptor.

Sample One monitor and door station 30 meter CA2-100-H-INTERCOM cable should be fine with a 24 Volt power supply, anything longer use a 48 Volt power supply.

To prepare the installation, connect the devices with the two wires, Ethernet cable to the switch and power supply all together.

Make an IP plan for the off-line installation for this sample we use IP address 172.18.193.128 for the door station and the 172.18.193.124 for the monitor.

Connect the PC to the network, download and install the Akuvox IP scanner software.

Open the Akuvox IP scanner and the IP addresses of the two devices show up in the software, when there are more Akuvox devices in the network they will show up as well. Check on the mac address if this is the correct device.

Press on the open icon A. on the right to get more options.

Turn off DHCP and enter an IP address with in the range of the network.

Click on Update to save.

Preform the same action for the monitor.

When done, click on refresh.

The select the device again to click on Browser to open the config page of the Door station

The default password is admin.

When this is the first time login to login this device, the device will ask to change the password.

Enter the IP address that is going to be used for the monitor and click on Submit.

Next go to the Relay options.

Check and or change the DTMF mode and the digit to open the door.

Give the relay a name and click on Submit.

Go down to set the permissions to open the door in the Open Relay Via DTMF.

Since this is an off-line installation, the option to select is All Numbers if not, so some reasons select “Only Contacts List” and add the contact with the IP address from the monitor and Submit to save.

Monitor configuration

Open the config page of the Monitor and open the Phone option and select relay.

Set the DTMF from the one in the Door Station and click on Submit.

Go down to Key Settings

Set the Softkey in the talking page to DTMF and give the label a name, and click on submit to save.
